Child-proofing your home

There are many ways in child-proofing your home. Child-proofing the home means making your home safe and friendly to the kids. As mentioned in the previous post, it is important that you hide your most important possessions. You can hide the visually tempting objects and things behind closed doors and furniture so that the kids at home may not be tempted to climb the shelves. Some items that you should store out of reach of the kids include your set of golf clubs- you don’t want your kids to play with these golf clubs unless you want to break some glasses and vases. Other items that you need to store out of their reach include cameras, table lines and jewelry. They may play with jewelry so better check these things. You can store these on cabinets with safety locks so that they cannot access these things.

When I child proofed my house I literally crawled around my house making sure everything was safe and double checking everything. I was also told to get fire prevention outlets. The way the person put it to me was that the socket covers that everyone gets would be useless if the outlet sets on fire.
